I don't know if there are even legal trail systems in CT never mind running on the roads. Most states allow you to cross the road if the trail crosses but not much more than that. VT, NH, and especially ME allow you to ride on some roads depending on the town. Hopefully, some of the CT guys can give you a better answer.
