Adding Grease Fittings?
#1
My Yamaha Timberwolf seems to only have one grease fitting? WTF is up with that, I was thinking, Could grease fittings be added to the following?
A-Arms
Rear Swing Arm Pivot
Front Ball Joints
Tie Rod Ends
Front Wheel bearings
Not sure if thats everything but its what I figure should have fittings no? Why are they not shipped with these fittings and is it easy enough to add fittings?

Because there sealed. When you finally replace the parts, then you can decide for example if you want sealed bearings again or non sealed with grease fittings.
Same with trucks they have sealed ball joints when new put most people replace them with ball joints that have grease fittings after that.
My 2001 500H.O has like 27 grease fittings, but after 2004 I think they have like 2 at most.

I do not mean for this to come across as rude, but I do know what a sealed bearing and a open bearing looks like. I have been working on garden tractors for about 2 years now (own about 5) and have been tinkering with cars at a wreaking yard since I was 11 (22 now). Now I will say I am new to atv's. Manual says nothing about adding grease to the front a-arms. Also noticed that there are timberwolfs/beartrackers that have two a-arms per side? Any benefit? Could it be added to mine? Also thanks for replying

Its going to have two if its "Independent double wishbone" but I thought the timberwolf 4x4 was "MacPherson Strut". 2000 Yamaha Timberwolf 4X4 ATVs
