Default Changing wheels - do I need a tork wrench?

I was wondering if it is necessary to buy a tork wrench to switch between my paddel tires and dirt tires? A friend suggested a tork wrench for aluminum rims.

Necessary, no. But the proper way would be to torque the lug nuts. I use a torque wrench on all important nuts and bolts on my quad however I dont torque down the lug nuts.

I have never used a torque wrench on my lugs.

For the lug nuts probably not. I rarely use one for that. It an excellent idea for any backyard mechanic to have at least one though.
