Anyone regret buying that second quad?
#1
I am ready to by my first quad in many years in the next month or so. I like to go camping with friends here in AZ and one, or two people in those camping groups have quads. I know another person and his buddy who have quads that are willing to ride with me too. My original thought was to get a second quad [my trailer holds two] for a lady to ride if I find a GF in the near future, or a friend who does not have a quad, so I can go more often and have someone to ride with.
The more I think about the expense of buying that second quad right now, the more I start thinking about the fact that women dont really like to ride anyway [Im 42] especially the women I like. [They are usually the real girly ones]. As for my buddys, it would be fun to go more often and take people out with me, but again, it seems like a large expense to have that second one just to take some one with me, who does not own their own quad.
When I was a kid, everyone had their own bikes and ATC's at that time, but I thought it would be a good idea to have a second one at my age, so I could go with others even when they didn't own one of their own. Im not sure who else to ride with just getting back into it again, but damn, another 3k spent this year would not be a wise move financially.
How many of you have more than one quad that just sits around because your GF, or wife dont even ride it? Have any of you purchased a second bike, or quad to take some one out with you? Maybe Ill get a second one next year, after my taxes are paid up, but Im starting with mine for now and see what happens. Hopefully, its not going to sit on the trailer because I cant find people to ride with often enough to make the investment a bad one. I know I love to ride, but I doubt Id go out alone into desert canyons for the afternoon.
