Default Whaaaaat?

I purchased a Polaris Sportsman 500 1996 Year and just noticed it only has 2,000 miles! Is that good or?

It depends on how it was put away. 2000 miles is just about no riding time per year in my book. I would make sure the carb. is clean, fuel has stabilizer in it, and look for badly weather cracked tires and CVT belt. Just a few things that come to mind. Have the battery checked too if it hasn't been replaced. Sometimes just sitting is worse than riding it a lot. 117 miles per year sounds like it might have been used around a farm or just during hunting season or something like that.

I had 2000 miles on mine 2 years ago. I,m at 3800 miles know. My dads 500 Sportsman has 7500 miles on it.

The only thing I,d be concerned over if it was sitting inside for a long time would be bad gas and a gummed up varnished carb. Battery would not like it also.
