It depends on how it was put away. 2000 miles is just about no riding time per year in my book. I would make sure the carb. is clean, fuel has stabilizer in it, and look for badly weather cracked tires and CVT belt. Just a few things that come to mind. Have the battery checked too if it hasn't been replaced. Sometimes just sitting is worse than riding it a lot. 117 miles per year sounds like it might have been used around a farm or just during hunting season or something like that.

I had 2000 miles on mine 2 years ago. I,m at 3800 miles know. My dads 500 Sportsman has 7500 miles on it.
The only thing I,d be concerned over if it was sitting inside for a long time would be bad gas and a gummed up varnished carb. Battery would not like it also.
