Default Do you carry a spare belt on rides?

I always carry them on my snowmobiles but you can change one in 2 minutes on those and with their higher rpm and HP they have more of a chance to let go.

On ATVs I don,t,since they seem to never cause problems and look good even after 3000 miles.
I do not ride alone and its easier for another ATV to tow me back rather then take the half hour to change the belt with bugs eating me alive on the trail.
Also unlike sleds ATVs do not have a special place to store spare belts.

This is only on a little day ride with friends, one weekend camping trips we do bring spare belts in that case.

I carry an extra one for my quad since my son blew a belt. He had been going through slow, rough terrain in high gear so it didn't surprise me. Snapped the belt within a mile of a powersports place who had a replacement and they even changed it for us as part of the price. If I'm way out in the middle of nowhere I like the peace of mind to be able to change it if I have to rather than walk out.

I used to carry a spare belt and the tools I needed to change it but I don't anymore. I don't ride alone anymore either.

Extra belt would be better for your safety. Get all of these added benefits by simply having the correct parts and accessories for your ATV. These added accessories can be beneficial any time.
