Do you support American Intervention in Syria?

All I know is, it doesn't matter which side we choose now, we'll be their first enemy when they get settled down.

Here's what you asked for. Hope you can understand most of it better than I could. I liked Henry Kissinger' response on the earlier Iraq and Iran war, would like to hear what he would say on this crisis. The Idiot's Guide to Fighting Dictatorship in Syria While Opposing Military Intervention

We should only get involved if other UN countries do. Otherwise it's none of our concern. We are NOT the world's police force. And the jury is still out on who used chemical weapons or whether anyone did. All you see is propaganda from both sides. I'll be sitting back eating popcorn and watching the show while Muslims kill each other.

Islamic civilization (green curve) has just taken place within the Byzantine empire and the rise of the European civilization (blue curve). Of course during this period, anybody can agree that the Middle East civilization was brighter than the western Europe stormed by the fall of the Roman empire.
Despite the fall of Constantinople and the end of the Byzantine Empire in 1453, the crossing point took place by 1500: The vessels going to India through the Cap bypassed the Middle East and the moors were expelled from Spain. In 1683, the ottomans suffered a dreadful defeat in attacking Vienna and one century later, Bonaparte was able to conquer Egypt. Of course, the gap widened with the industrial revolution.
We can conclude: In the history, there had been a Greek miracle. There had not been any Arab miracle except in the mind of the contemporary middle eastern population.
Little by little I feel like I'm back in school...

I was just listening to that on the ride home from work-
Seems a popular thought that the govt really has nothing to gain by using chemical weapons on its civilians; it's a lose / lose situation- where as the opposition would gain allies if they were able to gas 150 of their own and pass it off like it was the govt who did it... Then just sit back and watch the Europeans crush their enemy... Sneaky.
Perhaps my judgement is a bit cloudy being the father of 2 (soon 3
) and seeing children suffer- i just can't handle seeing children with blown off body parts and their skin peeling off from some chemical attack

Could be a sneaky trick by the militants as y'all say about gassing the people. Same thing could be happening in Egypt, militants asking for a truce with the army. Or is this just to buy time to recoup their forces??http://abcnews.go.com/International/...truce-20067113
