Default CR250 help

Hey guys I bought a 01 CR250 a couple years back, the bike was so clean that I didnt mind him not having the title(since everybody saying that MX bike rarely have titles). Now that I have had it for a couple years and all my others bikes have titles, im trying to get a title for it with only a bill of sale. The VIN is not scratched off and when I run it on multiple websites it comes back as never being registered? Anyone one else ever had this problem? How do I go about getting a michigan title for the this baby?

Thanks guys

Yeah I was looking for something on the michigan secretary of state website but cant find anything about getting title with a bill of sale on a never registered bike... I just dont know what to do... Im not worried about it being stolen because its never been registered but I ride down my parents dirt roads and if it ever gets impounded, how would i ever get it out with a bill of sale?

thanks sir

Have you called and talked with someone? That would be the best course of action, or go talk face to face.

I would go to the SoS and ask them.

I did they want a print out of KBB of what its worth, a surety bond, and my ID with the vin #! How much is a surety bond for an 2001 cr250? I called triple AAA and they said if I dont have insurance through them I cant get a bond, which is weird because my girlfriend pays for a triple AAA every year? What I was thinking if I called the guy that sold it to me and had him meet me at the bank to get a Bill of sale notarized. Would that be close enough to title? a notarized bank signed bill of sale? I dont know what to do, everyone says that for an old MX bike without a key you dont need a title, but I rip down dirt roads, some might call it wreckless so if I ever got my bike impounded how would I get it out?
