Default Carb issues 99 scrambler

Hello. Having some issues with my scrambler. It's a 1999 400. It has a hdp head aaean pipe 42mm tmx carb kn filter. Big bore. Oil injection block off. What's going on is I have no idle control. Makes no differance if its turned all the way in or out. I tore down the carb and replaced the crank seals. I'm stumped please help.

Simple compression test can show a lot, plus could be still carb related as far as jetting, etc if it won't idle, plus a leak down test would show if you have other areas leaking other than just the crank seals such as a head, base gasket,or even the cases.Any time you beef an engine up expect to have to tinker with it to get it right as every engine is different.

Thanks for ur help. Turned out I was getting a bad seal at the oil injector block-off. One other issue is some almost like foam substance on the inside of the carb? Fresh fuel, clean tank? If I have a bad o-ring on my head could coolant get past my reeds?

Found the same thing on a lot of premix machines. Foam can be a residue from the oil/gas mixture coating the inside of the carb body.If it runs good now since you fixed the air leak, have good gas and using good oil,no coolant loss or burning,I wouldn't worry about it.Plus some of this foam build up could be from moisture from the crappy ethanol fuel.A good fuel stabilizer might help.
