Iam new to this site ..well Ill try to make this short ..bought two 4wheelers (raptor 660r) (Polaris 330) this month both needed chains so I do some research and a lot of people say sidewinder chains are the best and I love my RAPTOR so I wanted the best so I spoke with Andy sales rep at sidewinder he was real good nice guy so I go with a smart chain and lifetime front and back sprockets and lube cost me $250 I get my package on time wen I open I look at the sprockets back one saids sidewinder it looks good then I look at the front sprocket and it's stamped SUNSTAR I get worried i called Andy and he said he forgot to leave a note in the box saying it was out of stock till next week so he gave me his own spare front sprocket I laugh he said other one will be on it's way then I look at the chain it saids TYC 520hso it's a Spain or Chinese chain I seen online for $58 and I spent $130 on my chain ..it's Saturday today come Monday Andy is getting chewed out and I want a refund ...then I do more research and it happen a bunch of times people getting ripped off DONT DO BIZ WITH SIDEWINDER so to get to the real point what is the best chain and sprockets money can buy now Iam back to the drawing board and need a good chain set up please help anyone !!!!!

How it goes easy tomorrow wich is Monday I call them and get a refund I talked with Andy sidewinder rep Saturday and I was asking all these ? About how my sprocket was sunstar and about how my chain was a cheap one and he said there all 100% guaranteed he still didn't explain why my chain was from Spain wen it should of been made in the USA then he said Iam not Gona go back and forth with u if u want ur money back let me know Monday so that's how u get ur money back ... What do U guys think is the best chain for a raptor 660

 

Pretty much any name brand o-ring(or x-ring/T-ring etc.) will be just fine. A 660 Raptor just isn't breaking a quality 520 chain. I personally have had good luck with Primary Drive, but I also believe a chain and sprockets are wear items that should be replaced and have never bought into the "lifetime" thing.

RK, DID, Renthal are all good choices. Proper maintenance is the key to longevity regardless of brand, then replace when the sprockets are worn out.
