Will Sears auto or maaco do a front end alignment for me?

My guess is that it would pull something awful to one side. I had to limp a quad back that caught a little bit of a tree and broke one of the tie rod ends off. We duct taped and zip tied it back together as well as possible and I was able to get it back the 30 miles into town. Wasn't a pleasant experience at all. Try taking it for a ride and see how it feels.

Generally you will be out of alignment due to a bent tie rod or tie rod end. The parts are made to be sacrificed vs the frame/a arms. The procedure isn't hard, but it does take patience. An extra set of hands helps as well. I would spend the 40 on a manual before I paid a shop 80/hour as it is all labor if no parts are hosed.

Go to youtube and search videos for replacing the parts that need it. Doesn't have to be an exact year model match. What you're looking at is the procedure in general. Gives you an idea of what the basics are and what you may need to do it.

It really isn't that bad. An atv ridden on dirt will be a bit more tolerant if it isn't aligned perfectly too. The only small sticking point is some of the tie rod ends will be reverse threaded. You can do this!

With the help you can get here, a good service manual and a few videos of watching someone else do it, you'll be surprised how easy it will be for you.
We were all new at this at one time.

An atv/motorcycle lift is nice at times, but you don't have to have one.
Nice thing about the 300, it's light enough you can pick up the front end and have someone put some jack stands under it. You can concrete blocks and wood too. Just make sure it's not unstable before you start to work on it.
