The ends can move around in the black rubber. Is that just cuz the rod is bent or are they busted?

You want some movement with the ends. But it shouldn't be flopping around.

They'll work, and be stronger than the originals.

That doesn't mean they're tree proof though.

Well I plan on not hitting another tree. And that wasn't the first tree I hit with my original ones. I would like to buy the stronger ones but it's a little out of my price range.

There's a set of used ones on ebay for 20 bucks. One tie rod end had a torn boot, but if it wasn't one you needed, you could put the old one back in it's place.

Yah maybe. But I would like two so that if I crashed again I won't have to buy another one. $50 bucks ain't that bad.

Aligning the front is rather easy, occasionally it takes some time.
When you remove the tie rod end from the tie rod count the revolutions. This should get you in the ball park. The rest is trial and error with a tape measure and a box wrench.
With sport quads I will toe out the alignment 1/4" overall. It helps with handling at higher speeds.
This a tie rod came off of my old 400ex. That stump jumped in front of me!
