570 Custom Build

LOL yeah 1 would work. How long is it? I definitely wouldn't want a big ol 12ft whip in front of me that's for sure!
I'm liking the way you mounted the drop rack on the back... it sure is HIGH!

Those Ripsaws look nice. Couldn't find any to fit my Can-Am though. I like the beadlock rims, so they wouldn't work going up to 27" tires.
I was going to mention that you should leave the fins out in the open air on the LED light to let it cool properly. You beat me to the punch. Looking good.

@ Alex. Don't temp me.. HAHAHA Its a 36" VHF wipe and yes I took your advise. da
@ Moose Henden. Speaking of Beadlock? LOL
Lot of pictures today. First thing on the communications inside the helmet thats a tough row to hoe for me. I wear the over the ear hearing aids, ( you'll fixing to see why) and very first day I had the 450, I didn't make it 15 foot foot in the woods a limb came back slapped me on the side of the head, out came my hearing aid. Could not find it, had to call in the big guns, called and friend he knew someone that had a metal detector that is the only way we found it. Why I'm mounting a VHF and external speaker on the atv not helmet communication. I can't put a speaker in front those hearing aids, they will yell at me the whole entire time. Tried that in racing, did fine long as I didn't wear them.
Ok,, Had fun today tinkering, turning it up a notch.
First screwed up of the day, mounted that antenna in the wrong place, front mount makes all the since in the world I won't kidding about putting it on the back basket.

Fixed it.
I"m good with electronics, so everything that went under, over, through, across, got covered with wire loom.

http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/m...shvyeat8b.jpeg
Today was also wire everything up day, including the back up lights. LOL
NO KIDDING.
Light bar came with his own harness and I actually liked the button so mounted on the bottom. Had two little LED's red and green for off and on.
Cut the little rubber carmet drilled a small hole in the middle, it works.

I drive a truck. Like my rear view mirrors had those motorcycle mirrors and the ones polaris has.
Design your own. LOL
Took a shelf bracket painted it yesterday, had the front rack I cut off when I mounted the basket that had the wire on it, did a little modding added a little more protection and made a great rear view mirror holder.
If for some reason it does get knocked off sometime all I have to do is add a side bracket behind it and move it over behind the bracket. Simple fix.
Cut out the wire and wrapped it over the shelf bracket, secured it to the front basket.

Piece I didnt use. Had three, cut the first one just a tad short, other two worked perfect.

Ok,, Remember I disabled the big head light so there is a switch with nothing on it.
Just so happened mounting the Light bar such a short run I had a lot of covered two strand #8 wire just itching to do something. LOL
Rear view back up lights under the basket.

So all the way up is back up lights switch it down one is front factory lights. LIght bar is on a different switch you'll already seen so its a cool one flip you see where your going backwards and forwards.

Going for two post so I don't get slammed for having to many photos in one. LOL

First off was trying to clear my other toy is the reason I mounted the backet high then I seen on the Polaris forum where lot of folks were having issues hauling stuff that on a drop basket or where they actually use the hitch. Makes the rear shift around, and can put you in a ditch.
Had the little 250 ATV that OD'ed in front the dragster so was a pain to get it out. It was a whole lot smaller to. LOL
ended up having to move the couch forward, winch, everything trying to get the new ATV behind it and its dang close on both ends.
I'm still going to have to drop the parachute about two inches which won't be a issue, but man I had my fingers crossed. It actually works now just when i'm on it its bumping it and that thing comes out fast and hard, and a PITB to repack in the trailer. LOL

Its actually under the basket but not by much.

Tails lights were on, why its red.

Dragster is behind the 570 and yes its my 3 hobby trailer and a man cave. LOL

Mounting the basket on top really does not affect your views but what it does do its solid as a rock. GF's 450 when you push down on the basket its really does not feel solid, i'll end up changing that on that one, but she wants to ride the grand kids so I have to leave enough room for that second seat.

Relocated the gun mounts in the front, ordered some offset today, moved the ones on the front to the rear, used the L brackets to secure then hanging over. Their good to go.
Got the radio ordered used off e bay,, as much as I have ordered off that sight would not you know its the first time i'm having a issue with the seller, he has not sent the radio yet. Going to steal the only out the pontoon replace it later. LOL NEVER GIVE UP.

Cutting a hole in the house tomorrow, adding a window doubt I work on the ATV any. Its getting there. Having fun doing the custom stuff and like the antenna on the front, ver rear, if you guys have ideas, jump your butt in here and help me out. Open to any ideas.

Later........

Tried to copy the picture off e bay but found a motorcycle back rest, original easy rider with a back pouch won it last night for 32 with shipping. God I love E bay.
eBay item number:142017271504 Not sure if you can see it now after auction is over .
With the back basket mounted on the top, I can use channel inside of channel, couple of U clamps, might have to tap weld a couple of L clamps, show you guys how to make a really nice back rest for under 50 dollars. Polaris is real proud of these at 200 dollars
Two things I forgot . You can see the external speaker for the vhf on the pictures where I built the mirror brackets.
Did add one LED strip across the back that is on, when the lights are on. Had that left over from dolling up the boat.
Bluewater LED helped me out for two years on the racing. Actually a light show in the race trailer, lit up under it, bass boat and pontoon are "LIT UP"
Had to throw one on there and send a picture to Mike at BW. Just to be nice..........
New laptop to and have not figured out how to take auto correct and grammar off this thing yet. Hate this windows 10. Want my 7 back. LOL
Just read through it. LOL

Thanks moose. If I did, you pay for the cookout, 6 pack of beer, bring mama so my mama has someone to talk to, we could Get-R-Done.
Alex, I just got them. No where yet. Sunbarry under Suffolk on NC side, is where GF's people are from I'm a transplant from Myrtle beach area. . I had the one in the picture was a Hinco, it crapped out, no one would work on it parts were impossible to get, bought the 450, it just don't ride two,, LOL, bought mine week before last putting the LUKE to it. . Need a trailer but that is going to have to wait a few weeks. Mine is 10 foot right now. want at least a 16 for the ATVs.
Had the grill mounted on the back of the 250. Who ever gets put out first, guess who has to host the party that night. LOL
This is when we stay on a long weekend racing.

Things only get hotter when the sun goes down on race weekend. LOL
After getting the 450 I had to go back in and change everything in the trailer, move the winch up, lost a end table, now the couch is pushed up by the wall. Since I got the 450 its been work, setting up everything have not had a chance to ride. Then I got the 570. LOL
.
Have 12 acres here, 1000 foot drive, thats my max so far but her people have land and they travel after fall to different places so just setting it up for fun right now. If any of you guys are into the big truck and tractor pulls , her brother is tops in points on east coast . Owns ONE MORE TIME.
I'm the asphault cowboy, they are slowly getting me into,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,DIRT. LOL
I do everything like this. Pickups, boats, dock, nothing is safe around me. Even the race trailer is pimped out. LOL OLD HIPPY here.
Travel with work so when i'm home I enjoy customizing and the hobbies.
Soon as I can get a trailer that hauls two want to come up there and ride some of that plantation you have to play in.
You'll catch the LED over the grill? LOL Gizmo.
Thats her brothers truck.

My stay young toy, yes its loaded down with electronics.

ATV is limited in what you can do but its fun .
Enjoy.
We have trailer wars between us to. Racers are a crazy crowd.
