570 Custom Build
#1
Hay guys. . Going to be doing a lot of custom work to the 570. Light bar, VHF radio, we use them for hunting around here. Just bought a 2016 450 GF took that over, quickly, bought a 570 Camo for me.
Catching up a little I had her 450 wrapped, drop down rack in the back for her flowers and yard work, which we both enjoy, and she hunts, has raced horses, on her brothers truck pulling team, cleans her own fish, so shes a Tom Boy from Hell. She'll have her own VHF and ordered some 25" rip saw radials for mine, we're replacing her 24s with the 25s that came on the 570.
Most of our riding is open fields,, dirt roads splashing a few puddles but nothing like you guys sinking these things in some of these pictures. LOL Shes into dirt, if I see mud, i'm looking for a way to go around it.
Going to be a on going thread, maybe give you guys some ideas, having fun twisting these two new toys up putting the LUKE to them and I custom and fix up everything around here from trucks and trailers to my dock, if its within reach, its going to get turned up a notch.
450 on right, 570 on left. Let the fun begin.
Ladies first, her 450

570. Tiggers Toy.
Started off install the front rack. Lot of toys going on that thing.
Skipped the install, moving to the montana 650t mount.

Took a piece of diamond place, little bending, its centered right over top of the headlight which is going to disconnected anyway. Did a little Cutting on the wire in the basket so I could move it up as close to the light turning as I could

Cut or drilled and opened to cuts at the bottom for the straps on the moose pouch thats going in the front so it will pull down tight. Good place for wallet and cell phone. Highest point on the bike.

Installed the gun racks to the outside coming back with a L bracket so secure them. Going to need that inside space a little later. There is method to my madness. Have faith.

Building so L brackets last night for something else, installed winch today and rhino brush guard and what ever else god knows I come up with. URL=http://s298.photobucket.com/user/liveaboard74/media/Polaris%20ATV/KIMG0012_zpseve6s5qc.jpeg.html]

Welcome and looks like a fun build! Did you keep accessibility to your front storage when you installed the front rack? I'm not too far from you. (Virginia Beach) Is your place on the Little River? I see the pier in a pic in the background. Fished many a bass tourney on that river.

Zrock, going to use a external speaker like I have in the boats. Its loud enough to hear while i'm rolling. I can hear it in the boats running . Have a plan.
Alex, Didn't bother the front . storage box what so ever Yes sir on Little River. Soon as you hit the big water if you put in at Halls creek you know my dock. . Tip, lot of structure unit it.
If you catch one over 10 pounds its mine. LOL
Major project day today. Moved the battery, installed the winch, brush guard, hand guards, and bus for electronics yet to come.
Thats the reason gun racks has to go to the outside.
Thats my Critter Getter. LOL

Brush Guard, winch installed.

Battery is gone.

There is it. Do'nt like electronics low. Don't like winch controls low either.

Run the wires up and brought them in the front top of the storage lid.

Mounted the winch controls on the back of the front rack .

Mounted the switch on the outside of the front storage rack, where if I do get stuck I don[t have to lean over to control it. Outside works for me.

Marine bus by the winch controls, mounted the hand guards, waiting on a 22" curved light bar going to be installing it behind the front screen.

Have not bothered in inside of the storage compartment at all. Can't even tell there is anything over top of it.

On vacation, might be monday before I start back on it. Going to clean the wires up by the battery later. Left enough to add a bigger battery if needed.
VHF, antenna, should be in by Monday. Going to add some marine switchs for the light bar and the Garmin Montana 650t.
You guys have a great weekend.

Interesting place to mount your battery, winch control and bus. Why did you relocate the battery if you avoid the mud and water? It had a lot more protection in the original local and heaven forbid that you ever take a roll, it has the possibility of being damaged, preventing your return home and leaking all over the front of your ride. You probably already have a plan to do this but make sure you weather guard the bus terminals and the controller better than those terminal covers in some fashion, such as dielectric grease or liquid electrical tape. Having a boat, you know that corrosion kills!
Looks interesting so far!

Fill that rear rack up on the 450 and she'll be able to wheelie!!!
I thought I liked mods. You've got most of the guys I know beat on that front.

Luke,
Looking at how you mounted the gun holders to the front rack and only using 2 holes. How stable/solid is it, with it just using the holes from 1 side? Did you contemplate cutting a square from the diamond plate, mounting the square to the rack frame, centered on the square, then mounting the gun racks to the diamond plate? JMO but if I did it the way you did with only using 2 holes, I would have had the unused holes over the rack instead of hanging over the front, that way if it cracks, the gun rack will fall back into the basket.

Mounted the battery up there so it would be easier to get to and lets not talk about rolling it.
I'm for sure not into the speed riding. . VHF and the 22" light bar are inbound and having everything where the electrical functions are all within reach just seems like a good idea to me. I"m sure i'll sink some sometime, just not one to see a mud hole and go tearing off 90mph to see if I can make it through it.

I do twist everything up like I like it. Have fun putting the Luke to it but then ain't nothing from the factory, that I can't make better or at least to my liking. LOL
And I did take that as a complement. Thanks.

Know whats cool about the light bar. Its totally protected by the wire on the front rack. 21" Curved

Have not finished it yet. Going to totally enclose it with quarter inch black star board, from top and behind where no bounce from the light will be glaring backwards. In other words no reflection what so ever.

Puts a new meaning to heads up display.
Also installed that little Do-dad on the right where I can plug my cell phone in , while its in that front Moose pouch while ridding and charge it up. .Has two USB ports and shows the voltage.

Back pouches for more storage on both sides . Didn't take a picture of the other one. Got to keep things equal.

And took the 450 up town let the honda place install the Rip Saws on that. Now i'll changed my tires on the 570 to the 450, put those rip saws on my 570 so the 450 ends up with 25 inch tires instead of 24s.

Its Miller time...........
