Four Wheeler Help
#1
Hello,
First off my name is Mike P. I have a 2006 Baja Motorsports Wilderness 250. I bought it from someone about a a year ago and had it sat up for a few months so I brought it to a mechanic and had a overhaul done on it. new battery, cleaned out the carbs, put new brakes on it, removed the key ignition since they dont make them anymore and put on a toggle switch instead. Well after picking it up i had bought some tires for it and had it in my garage for a few weeks. Now, i followed their instructions before leaving it in my garage i turned off the fuel and ran it till it died. it ran great up until this point. Yesterday i went to start it up (turned the fuel back on first) and it would not turn over. i tried and tried again with no luck. i added some ethanol additive helper and went to bed. i woke up this evening and it finally started up but was idling really high and when i put it in gear it was running forward as if i was holding the throttle i had to keep on the breaks just to not move. (never done this before) i thought it might be the idle cable but it seems to not be under tension. please if anyone has any advice let me know.

Welcome to the forums.
Have you checked the intake boots for cracks and leaks? Could be something as simple as that, or it could be something in the carb like the needle not sitting right.
