Default Make the smell stop!!

I have had the atv at home in the garage, without gas. I ran it down a few months ago and it’s been dry for a few months. I just filled it up and the past two weeks it has been in the garage and the gas smell is awful ! As soon as I open the garage door the smell overtakes me and I don’t understand why.

I haven’t seen any gas leaks, no spills , etc

where do I start??

Has to be some kind of leak for the funes to be that strong! What about gas cans or other vehicles? Strong fumes can be very dangerous, explosive,!

I agree, it’s not good. There are other gas cans for lawnmowers, the boat has its gas tank.. They are always in there but I checked them anyway and no issues. It’s definitely the atv. After I noticed the smell I took it out and ran it around for a half hour to see if anything would show, but no leaks.

Is there a seal or area I should look more closely at?

i just looked over all the engine and noticed this cable is loose. It has a spring in it, right off the carb. You can pull it up and see the spring inside. I’m assuming that is not good..
It is the right side of the engine. I’ll try to look it up later but if anyone can help I’d appreciate knowing what it is.
i remember looking online last year and saw I can buy a carb online for $20 or so, would it be worth just replacing the entire carb?
