Default 2005 Kawasaki KFX 400 (Suzuki z400) dies while cruising.

I have a 2005 Kawasaki KFX 400 (Suzuki z400) and it starts up and idles just fine but when cruising around it will randomly just fall on its face and die, but then I can fire it right back up and it runs again. It does not do this when on the throttle. Just to give you some background information. I have recently (in the past 2-3 weeks) cleaned out the carb (more than once) also cleaned out the gas tank, replaced the petcock, added a fuel filter. I replaced the stock CDI last summer (2019) with a Dyna-tek as I was getting little to no spark and also replaced the battery. I am not thinking it is fuel related as I mentioned before it fires right up and idles fine and seems to run great when on the gas, however when just cruising around the damn thing just konks out, but will start right back up which also leads me to believe not fuel related but electrical maybe? I am going to check the pins on the CDI harness and see if any are bent or pushed in or out now and check the wiring for any damage. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
