Anybody got a RHINO yet?

Jimbo...sorry about the delay but I have been out of town. Couple of things to note. You will most likely pay sticker as most of these dealers have deposits on their first round of allocations and most will tell you they have a list of names a mile long that want to see it first then they will put a deposit down. I am friends with the guy that owns False River Motor Sports (New Roads, LA) and he offered me the last unit in his November allocation but the guy in Gonzales let me have his last one in the October allocation (this was over a month ago). I checked dealers in Lafayette, all the dealers in Baton Rouge, Hammond, etc.. Here is what you should expect to pay:
List Price $8499
Setup fees range from $0-$300
Shipping Fees range from $0 - $300
Tax, title and license
The guys that do not charge setup fees will try to get you on shipping. Remember, these guys do not have to negotiate. While in Mississippi on business, I stopped in at South Jackson Yamaha and they called me late last week to come see the one that had just arrived (I could not make it). But here is the information:
South Jackson Yamaha
5547 I 55 S
BYRAM, MS 39272-9799
Ph: 601-371-9050
I have also heard some real good things about Bubba Bardwell and as of last week, they still had one or two of their October allocations available. Here is their information:
Bubba Bardwell Yamaha
403 HIGHWAY 51 N
BROOKHAVEN, MS 39601-2350
Ph: 601-833-1760
Good luck and hope this helps.....

One more thing Jim.... You can go to the yamaha website (www.yamaha-motor.com) and do a dealer lookup by area code and make (side x side). This will give you a list of dealers in that area. The guy in Hammond is only being allocated one or two for October (the smaller the dealer, the smaller the allocation).

Thanks Rhino....looks like I missed out on the first shipment. I am gonna get in on the 2nd round, and might just wait to get the camo model. That's not that big of an issue, though. I appreciate the feedback, and let us know how you like the new toy when you get it......Jim

Got my Rhino today. They only had the one, and I didn't think twice. Bought it and brought it home. Haven't had time to do much with it except break some traffic laws in town and go get ice cream.

Hope you enjoy it this week as things aren't looking good for us Michiganders who would like to go side-by-sidin' in some peak color before it all gets blown away............supposed to know more about our shipments on Friday.
Congrats(!) and let's all keep in touch...........sure would be nice to start a network we could rely on and maybe benefit from.

has anybody taken this thing on any trails yet?
Does anyone know if you can remove the governor to increase the top speed up to around 40-45mph?
My polaris ranger goes a little over 40. It would be nice to have a machine that could reach 45.
