don't fell bad guys, here in Iowa, we have to pay registeration on them at purchase, through the dealer but can not legally ride them ANYWHERE! you basically can't legally leave your property on a SxS unless it's on a trailer! Private property only and not even a 50"wide RZR is allowed in any of the ATV parks!
Figures...the state makes you pay but won't give you anywhere to ride!
The thing that really rubs me wrong is if you can show documented proof you are a farmer, you don't have to pay any registration or tax AND can basically drive them anywhere as is! I get a ticket for crossing the highway in front of my house, (acreage out in the country), and the farm kid down the road drives his Ranger down the middle of the highway and the Sherif Deputy smiles and waves to him! ONLY IN IOWA! Where farmers are king!

PS: farmer owned UTVs are federal/state income tax deductable as farm equipment so you and I are actually paying for them with our tax dollar...not to mention those $40,000 pickups they pull them home with!!!! Don't it give you a warm and fuzzy feeling?!
