Default Rhino Failure after only 15 mos

I bought the Rhino apr 15 mos ago and now I am have to replace the stator assembly at a cost of 700.00+ not too happy, Yamaha would not help even though this should not happen except in older motorcycles. I loved the Rhino until this happened, its a shame Yamaha is unwilling to work with people on defective parts beyond the 6 mo. warranty period. I will buy the Polaris next time or maybe honda will come out with a utility.

I doubt Polaris or Honda will fix anything that's been out of warranty for almost a year. Buy the extended warranty next time, it's worth every penny.

Yes, isnt the extended warranty like 500.00 ?? you would have at least saved 200 + dollars.....

Should have just had rickystator rebuild and rewind your stator. way cheaper and they can even change the lighting output for more power and aux lights.

" I loved the Rhino until this happened, its a shame Yamaha is unwilling to work with people on defective parts beyond the 6 mo. warranty period."

This statement really puzzles me.
That's sorta the point in a "warranty".
It says "hey, we'll promise these certain things will not go wrong with your _____________, but if they do, we'll fix them as long as it happens within X amount of time."
A "warranty" covers a "product" for a certain amount of time.
In this case, 6 months.
This is why they offer extended warranties.
Most stuff that's going to go wrong with an off road vehicle is going to happen after the first 6 months or so, in my experience.
Don't go blaming Yamaha for not replacing your messed up part.
Like you said, it's BEYOND THE 6 MONTH WARRANTY PERIOD.
