Artic Cat Prowler
#1
I was looking at the Artic Cat Prowler and wondering if this vehicle is for me. I would use it for hunting mostly and playing a little. I need something that can handle the weight of my dog wagon and not bottom out or get all bogged down. I am currently using a Brute Force 650 but I would like a side by side with a bed. I was wondering how well these things hold up because it will go through hell. Any comments or experiences with this machine would be greatly appreciated as would any suggestions. Thanks.

well I like the looks of the prowler but the ride wasnt that comfortable, I went with the ranger due to its weight capabilites and at full load still has more clearance then others. plus more options then the prowler as of now. sorry if this wasnt the answer you was looking for but I did try it (prowler) and wasnt happy with it.

had my prowler now for 4 months, it's fast ,reliable, looks good, the only problem so far is i had a rear cv seal leaked and the dealer fixed it while i waited, other than that it's been great, i have almost 50 hours on it now. i test drove the ranger and rhino and look at the mule before buying the prowler, i didn't like the bench seat on the ranger, slide around to much on our test drive, also wasn't sporty enought for me, i didn't choose the rhino because it's to narrow and heard about to many roll over and poorly designed transmissions and the 660 have a problem burning oil, on the mule i didn't like were the steering wheel located, almost center of the seat, so the best choice for me was the prowler, and i really like it.

I couldnt go with the rhino because of the seating config
I needed to be able to seat three people, the rest of my family, without dropping another 5 grand on rear seats, and a roll cage, plus losing the capability of my bed. Ive already used it to bring firewood home!!!

I looked at it seriously and nearly pulled the trigger. I ended up with a Rhino, but I like the look of the Prowler better. The thing just looks impressive. I went with the rhino because I wanted something that would fit in the back of my pickup so I didn't need a trailer, and I wanted camo. If those aren't issues for you, the Prowler looks great.

I just picked up a new Rhino Sport this past Monday and have not driven it but I also looked at the others. I really like the looks of the Prowler.
This may seem biased but drop by a Yamaha dealer and ask for their Rhino brochure that has the CD. It has a comparison of the Prowler, Polaris and Rhino. It is worth taking a look at even though it is slanted towards the Rhino. Had some interesting info on all of them. Both pros and cons.
