Default thinking of getting a buggy? need help

I am sure all the buggys have been reviewed but i would like to narrow it down. Here are my riding specifications. I have 3 boys(6,10,13). All have been riding quads since since they could. We ride in California(registration questions). We love to go to Pismo Beach. Looking for a two seater so myself or wife and get a young kid out in the dunes but my oldest would love to ride it.
Ok all, what should I buy and what would it cost. Trying to stay under $3500 is possible.

Maybe try minibuggy.net, mostly motorcycle powered.

A lot DIY but they will help you get something worth while. Most are of the manufactured ones are junk. Then again you may want to go to the sandrail type pages.

What dimensions are you looking for?

www.theedge.au.com
www.desertkars.com
www.rorty-design.com

A lot more out there.

I have been considering doing this for the family. Would be great for everyone.

In that price range, you will either have to look at used buggies or imported 150-250cc minibuggies.
I would consider the joyner 250cc two seater, good customer support and parts availability.
Check out buggynews.com for more info into these little buggies, lots of good information and helpful people.
