I have heard that Polaris' are not as well made as the Japanese brands.

Do you (owners) find that you have to fix things a lot?

I have only ever owned Japanese products.

Really appriciate it.

i have put 260 hr on polaris and the only problem i have had was with the dam dirt dobbers pluging vent lines on carb and any other hole avalible.had a battery go bad but i think that happen to all brands. I can't say anything about rice burners because i never owned one.

The Japanese brands are nowhere near as good as they used to be when they were made in Japan.
Your Polaris is going to be just as good as a Yamaha, as they are both made in the USA by (un)skilled US labor.
Go to your neighborhood Mega Mart and buy a 30 dollar bicycle from China, the welds on it will be perfect and not junk like the ones on our ATV's made in the US. I just bought a brand new Yamaha and it looks like it was made by a bunch of goons.
