Default 06 vs 07 Ranger

I am going to buy a Ranger this weekend. What are your opinions on the new 07 features? Are they worth the $1000+ i can save by buying an 06?

this is just my opinion.

I went with the 06, with the thinking that the aftermarket will catch up with the digital dash, and the higher top speed. I just couldn't justify spending the extra grand+, and the taxes, for those amenities.

what kind of prices are you seeing in your area for an o6 xp?

where do you live?

Live in Ohio. I have looked at several dealers and the best so far is new 06 xp asking $9500 and said if you were serious and a qualiified buyer they would work with you on that price so im heading there tonight with a trailer, i thought thatd be hard to beat. How about prices around you?

that is 1 hell of a price.......

I was able to pick mine up for 9999 out the door.....I drove 5 hours 1 way to pick it up, as the local dealers couldn't get to within 1000 bucks of that price, without tax

congrats. man

let us know your first impressions!!!

well I can tell you that if it was me I like the 07 but the only real diff is a few miles per hour faster stock and the gauges other then that they ride the same and handle the same on the dunes. so I would go with what is affordable maybe th 08's or even the sport ranger would be something to look forward to trading the 06 when you get it.

just picked up an 07 XP limited edition silver - for 10,999 (plus taxes) OTD - no b.s. freight, assembly, doc fees. Also got a 10% discount on all the accessories I purchased (softcab, glacier plow, winch). I probably could have found a few hundred cheaper - but I've had a good relation with this dealer so far.
