I would assume that you could find out the size of your carb, and maybe go up a few mm in size to increase the power output. you will have to jet of course

Yeah you definitely want to check out buggynews.com, it's an excellent resource for these buggies. I have an '05 Twister Hammerhead 150 (virtually identical to the Talon) and love it. For about $50 worth of parts you can really wake these machines up. You'll be surprised at how well 150cc perform.

Check these posts for starters:

enjoy the Talon.

thanks for all of the info
i'm thinking about buying a high performance camshaft for more acceleration, and some high performance carburetor jets from awesomebuggy.com
what do you reccomend for a nother mod? i allready have a K&N filter with some large radiator hose attached to it running to the carb. and all of the baffles are cut out of the exaust.

What year is your Talon? If it's a 2004 the cam will be a good gain however the 2005 and up Talon DLX comes with a pretty aggresive cam stock so you won't see much gain by installing a new one. The best mod by far is to replace the rollers in the CVT with lighter ones (9 or 10 grams) and putting in a stiffer clutch spring. You will see huge gains in hill climbing ability with those mods. Hills that I could not climb at all when stock I can now climb at 1/2 throttle after the changing the rollers and spring and gutting the exhaust, adding a UNI filter intake (eliminating the restrictive stock airbox/snorkel setup) and rejetting the carb.

I see you're located in Kentucky. Buggynews.com will be holding it's second annual Buggy Bash at Paddy's Bluff ATV park in Dycusburg, KYon June 22, 23, and 24, 2007. You'll definitely want to check that out.

here's a link for the bash:
