Please can someone help? I am not looking for speed, far from it!
I need a vehicle to carry manure/a few bales of hay/a small trailer/small roller and small harrow and go SLOW!
I am going to try out a compact gator down some muddy paths in the morning but I dont know if its not got enough GO in it. The dealer has told me he has used them in lots of mud etc and it does the job fine.
Yamaha does seem more robust however I will not be tearing around on it.
I just want to buy the right vehicle
Any information will be really grateful

I think you mean a Yamaha Rhino, I would deffinately go with it, it's a work horse, and a beast in mud

 

If you want a work horse of a bike I would go with a Polaris Ranger or an Arctic Cat Prowler,both will carry & haul more than a Rhino & are as good or better in mud & have lots of get up & go. The Rhino is a good all round bike just not so much for work as these two are.

spent weekend on a john deere compact gator it got stuck in small amount of mud very easily which was a shame as it is nice to drive on the flat. It couldnt cope with one bale of hay up a very small slope either
So its definitely quad for us

Arctic Cat and Polaris both sell atvs with dump beds for more utility. Both are much more capable than a Gator and will ride better too. They do get spendy with the dump beds and you should probably look at the yamaha Rhino/Polaris Ranger/AC Prowler/Kawasaki Mule and Teryx like mentioned above.
