polaris all the way there the best built great clearence tons of power in low range and can pull anything. i have a 1996 425 magnum and it tows a 28 foot speed boat in low range and my nieghbor has a ranger he loves it he says its better than his old rihno. my good friends grandfather has a mule and he doesnt like it at all.

Don't worry about your belt. If you push snow in low gear the tires will spin years before the belt breaks. Most belt breakage has to do with people constantly being in high gear when they should be in low. The belt doesn't cool as well as when it is spinning faster in low gear.

This is a little offbeat, probably not as much fun as a UTV, but a lot nicer for work and less than great weather, so much so that I forgot about a UTV and started looking at one of these... a neighbor has a Daihatsu Hijet he uses on his farm. It's a micro pickup with a cabover design, not road legal in the US, but a lot of farmers here are starting to use them. Power 6' dump bed, 4x4, not much larger than a UTV, and best of all... a sealed, heated, air conditioned cab. If it's too cold, too hot, or raining, that really comes in handy.
$7k-8k will get you one in decent shape.
