Have you ever wondered why there isn't any interest in ATV/UTV's in China? It should be obvious that they are producing more Chinese Junk for the US market. Why, if you think about it, even their ships are called JUNKS. Also am beginning to think the same thing about Korean products too.

And trying to get parts for them is like beating your head against the wall. 2) I have a friend on this list who actually accepted a job at a major Chinese company to try and fix the above, and finally came home after a year. the company wasn't really looking to fix the problems, but hiring American engineers to add credibility to the brand. Nothing was actually solved. Lastly, the Chinese companies are not interested in following our safety standards, or contributing $ back into our sport like the big three do. No rider training, no trail building, no lobby investment. Nothing. they are only interested in getting a quick buck and running away.

When you say Asian model be carefull what you are referring to. In most cases they are Chinese and as stated they are throw away models. Just look on this forum under Chinese machines and look at all the people begging for parts and help to get them running. Now a couple mfgrs have stepped up to the plate to get there machines recognized such as Hisun and Benche, they still have some part issues but not as bad. There is one Asian mfgr that makes a top notch machine and that is Kymco, originally started by Honda they ventured out on there own in the early 90's and have had great success. They are mfgr in Tiawan, not china, they use USA safety standards and design engineers and make a very good product and stand behind them well. Parts are not an issue and there dealer base is growing by leaps and bounds. In the past few years there complaints per 100 units made are one of the lowest in the industry (Polaris is one of the highest). Not knocking Polaris as they make a zillion machines and sell well but also have their issues. You wont find many Kymco used machines out there as people hang on to them for their reliability. They are also known for there scooters, they produce more scooters per year than all other mfgrs in the world combined. Kymco is the largest mfgr of small motorized vehicles in the world. Chinese is the country you want to stay away from not all the Asian countries..

KYmko... isn't that a spin off of their tractor line? Look, here is my read. I have ridden in many places in our country, and attended my share of festivals, sponsored by many of the major manufacturers, They put tons of money in these, along with trail systems, safety training etc. I don't see Kymco participation. And I doubt their parts availability would be as great if the dealers were not tagging on to the Tractor dealer network. I have not ridden in one, have no friends that have one, so I cannot comment on quality, so to be fair, I am not going to bash them by name, but I feel pretty confident about my China statements. Like many on this list, I prefer to stick with the major manufacturers that DO have dealers, parts and support the sport. EVEN IF their products cost more. And that is usually what steers people to the Chinese markets. Lastly, when it comes to Polaris... I have had a dislike for them since the 60's and the junk they were putting out in the snowmobile market. I rode a Ski-doo. So the dislike was natural. And although there are a lot of their products out there, I still dislike them. I own Can-Am products, Yamaha, and Honda as well. Yep, I AM spoiled. But I can go down to the local dealer and get anything i want or need. And that brings up another issue. SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL DEALERS. Stop buying crap from online sources. You are nothing but a profit stream to them, and your dealer is the face of the products you buy. They need your support to survive.

Google Polaris recalls.

A good friend of mine was riding in a group in Idaho July 3rd 2018.

This is what's left of one of the RZRs in the group. I know its not a Ranger but its still a Polaris.

They've had recall after recall. They will cut every corner possible to save a buck at your expense.

I've had 2 Polaris ATVs, both 2012s. One was a piece of **** and the other wasn't far behind.

I will NEVER own a Polaris and I would never recommend one to anybody.
