Totron bar lights all the way. The cheap Amazon or Ebay lights start fading out after a while. Not bad if you don't do any rough riding, but will they won't survive anything rough.

Can't disagree with you just yet.
I would like to know the difference since I could buy 5 lights for what you paid and my cheapo is IP rated at 67 which is close to everyone else.
They sure look the same all the way down to the mounting brackets. I'm guessing most are made in china.
How did you mount yours on the bar?
Hard to tell from the picture

It's just mounted with a set of 1 3/4" aluminum flag mounts. The light comes with pedestal mounts, so I just bolted those to the flag mounts on the roll cage. Worked out perfect.

The Totrons aren't that expensive. Definitely not in the Rigid range. 2, maybe 3 of your el-cheapos...lol. A couple of friends have the cheaper lights, and they call them "disposable lightbars". Basically, they throw them away every year and buy new. Even though they look identical to the higher priced bars, they don't use the same quality LEDs and aren't constructed the same. Not sure exactly how they connect the LEDs in the housing, but after a few hundred hard miles, some of the LEDs start fading out, or go out all together. By the end of the season, half the bar isn't working.

If you don't beat the hell out of your machine, you might get better life. We punish ours...lol.

I used my bar clamps from my side mirrors. The 30" bar was a bit long so I had to make a bracket to attach to the stock mounts.
We're going for a week camping trip tomorrow and anxious to try out the light bar.
I was watching the Rigid videos and their testing of the lights. I'll take my chances over a $300 light bar.
And what would make Polaris' light bar so special for $750?

I'll let you know next week how it goes. I've lost 40 bucks in more ways.

I wouldn't know how to behave in the desert..lol If I can't splash some water or throw some mud, I'm out of my element. My machines spend 80% of their life buried in the mud.

We have a big variety from rock crawling to rocks and sand or just endless sand like Glamis dunes.
Even though we just had rain up north and muddy trails the main roads were dusty to where I clogged up my air filter again.
I need some sort of snorkel to move the air intake.
250 miles and the light bar is holding up well. I did put in some longer screws where the mounting bar bolts to the light bar. Screws they had were barely minimum for depth into the bar.
So far so good. Sure lights up everything at night.

LED technology has come a long way. Even the "cheapos" are fairly decent now. The biggest difference now-a-days is the beam focus/diffusion. I'm still having good luck with the Totron bars. All of these are Totron (except the 3x3 cubes on the Scrambler), at least 5yrs old, and punished in mud and water. The 3x3 cubes are some ebay off brand I bought to put on my truck for work lights. Curious to see how they hold up, but they've been on the Scrambler for about a year, and so far so good.
