Linhai Bighorn 400 UTV shifting problem

Default Linhai Bighorn 400 UTV shifting problem

Looking for some guidance:

I am suddenly unable to shift my Bighorn 400 when the engine is running. If I start in gear I can drive, but I cannot switch between gears while the engine is running.

I cannot find any reference to an adjustment for the clutch (if there is a clutch, since it is an automatic shift without a clutch pedal). There is very little information on this particular machine online.

I have the idle set very low but it makes no difference. Attached is a video of the issue.

Any advice would be welcome.

Default Linhai grinding gears

The unit has broken clutch spring or dprspgs.

I am having the same problem with my 2013 Linhai Bighorn 28 Work-Horse, it is hard to go into gear (get a grinding-gear sound). Any advice on what to look at first?

Default Linhai Bighorn 400 shifting problem

I have a Linhai Bighorn 28 and it had the same problem. I took it to a dealer and he had to replace the front and rear clutch. Yes they have two clutches. I also had to have a new drive belt. I too had to start it in gear but couldn’t change gears while it was running. If the reverse is grinding then the back clutch is bad if the forward gear grinds the the front clutch is out if both grind then both are bad. Cost me about $1000.00 to have fixed. Hope this helps you out!
