Me and my buddie went up north this weekend to the gladwin trails. While we were riding we saw two guys walking. when they saw us they asked if we could pull them out of the mud they were stuck in. So my buddie who has a honda foreman 450 and i have a honda rubicon 500. we said that we would try and we hooked our winches up to the hitch and started pulling on it and we pulled it out. i was pretty shocked bacause the truck was bottomed out in some mud. But the two trusty hondas did the job and pulled them out.

Ha ha ha!! It took two Hondas to pull them out. My Kodiak could have done it alone!!! LOL Just kidding. The old winch is a trusty friend to anyone who plays on the mud.

Which of the two bikes do you like better in the mud? My bro is deciding on the Foreman or the Rubi. Myself, I would think they would be about the same.

it is true that a big bore Polaris may be able to pull it out alone because they get more traction because they weigh so much!
I'm not bashing other model I'm just thrrowing in my $.02!

Have a friend with a 500 Scrambler 4x4, who pulled a jeep out of a creek. Granted the belt and clutch were smoking after it ....But it did pull it out. Also had a friend with a Foreman450 who pulled a Blazer out of a pond. I would have to say those fourwheelers are pretty powerful for there size.

A funny thing happen today! speaking of pulling vehicles, I was going to pull my junk 87 charger to a spot to work on it. My pickup was out of town with my sister using it, so i hooked up my Rancher and the logging chain, and took up the slack and started pulling, POP! no it wasn't the honda, I ripped the fron off the charger, there I was looking at the bumper, frame members, plastic (the front end 'works' laying on the ground), and behind it was sitting AC condensor. Well anyhow I really have more or less given up on that car anyhow, so maybe one of those push pull or two it in trade ins? Or maybe charitible car donation and write it off for more than it's worth. I thought it was a riot though.

kindsambo I have rode foreman and i own the rubi. i personally like the rubi because it is mine (ha ha) but i also like the foreman. i guess in my eyes they are about the same just a small notcible difference in the mud mine will go thought it a little better just because of the low range. I know that the rubi will go through deeper mud than the sportsman 500 h.o because i pulled one out and then went through the mud hole that he got stuck in.

Ok I can't let Wickels45 get away with this comment :

I love when people start saying my quad is better then your quad. I have pulled a Rubicon out of a mud hole and went through the same mud hole he got stuck in too, I think he would have made it but he just didn't rock it hard enough to get it out.
So sometimes it's just the rider on the quad.

I had my 400ex stuck in some really deep mud that was like glue, it took a Polaris 500 4x4, a Raptor, and a Warrior to pull me out. It depends on the mud.
