Instead of making a new topic i decided to post in this one.

My problem is i have been trying to post a picture on "my page" and the picture won't show up, but the text will. Yesterday i got a email from the forum asking me to delete the text because there is no picture. Sure enough i can do that. Well i went in to "my page" and hit delete on picture #3. When the window came up asking me if i really wanted to delete the text and picture, the picture and text came up but won't show up in my page? Does that make sence? I was just wondering if i am doing something wrong or if its the forum. This morning i tried to move the picture to slot #4 and the same thing happened. I forgot to add that i checked what the size of the picture was before i deleted it and it said 150X105 pixels. I looked in FAQ to see what the requirements are, but i didn't see anything.

 

the reqirements are on the screen that pops up when you click 'add/edit' on an individual picture

what was the file type of said photo (jpg, gif) ??

 

It is jpg.

 

this is such b.s. about the posting pics thing. i did a search and bunch of b.s. came up. why do i have to downsize my photos. thats too much messing around. theres no good reason for it. this is the only forum out of 5 that im on, and a moderator on 2 of them that i cant post pics, either admin put up a sticky how to do it or you can remove my i.p. adress cause im about done with this forum. thanx for listening

My daughter figured out how to resize photos all by herself when she was 12 years old. 2500 other people with photo galleries here have figured out how to resize a photo.

I think you're capable of figuring out how to do it too but not with a negative attitude like that.

People will help you if you're willing to give them a chance. If not, well, perhaps you should find another forum if you're not happy here.

 

Oh, and the reason we have size limits that other forums might not have? No other ATV forum has over 70,000 pages being read every day. If we didn't limit the photo sizes and had to transfer unecessarily large photos we would eat up all of our bandwidth. Then of course you would gripe about the pages loading too slowy. I think before you go off on us about a subject you know nothing about you would be better served by asking questions first.

 

i dont think i have any software that will do it, this unit is about 5 years old. i can see what i can come up with. guess i was just having a bad nite, sorry.

i did ask how to post pics, i did do a search, there were so many topics it would take me hours to read them all. if you had a sticky up or something as how to post pics it would prolly be helpful. just my opinion. and yes ive found 4 other fourms i like very much, so just geve me a break here and ill hopefully figure out how to post pics on my own with my crappy software, without buying a program and all will be better!!

ok i think ive got it figured out, your right this is a sticky. im not used to this style of forum, not that its bad. i like the bio thing where you can click on the camera. i have a tendency to have a short fuse, i apologize to anyone i irritated.
