I would like to upload my own avatar. I can't seem to get it to work. I get the error message:

There was an error reading author icon. The error was: variable TEMPSTRUCT is undefined.

Is it me, or the forum software? The file I'm trying to upload is a JPEG 120 by 120 pixels and about 5K bytes. I've tried 100x100 pixels with the same error message.

 

there has been problems on the site lately i have gotten that same message ....i hope there working on it ...

 

Try uploading the pic as a GIF instead of a JPG. I use Paint to open the pic and save it as a GIF then it works. It looks kind of crappy compared to the original JPG but at least it works.

 

Thanks! I converted to gif and it uploaded OK. Never thought to try a different format.

 

I haven't been able to get my avatar to upload. sized at 90x78 and 16KB as jpg No Go.
Tried the paint trick (changed file to gif) still no go. All I get is "upload failed". Are we still having problems with the software?

Apparently, the computer gods listened as I typed. MY BAD...........

 

mine still wouldnt load either even at t he right size.
we at least my toy box is up now lol.
