Rincon valve adjustment?
#1
Can someone help with the procedure on valve adjustment on a Rincon? Is this adjustment really needed? I have 450 miles on my Rincon and seems to run fine...power etc. The dealer recomends it at arround 100 miles and I just haven't had the time to shoot a day taking it all the way there, waiting then bringing it back. Plus I hate making appointments.
I am new to the forum and also new to 4 wheel'n. This is my first 4-wheeler and I love it. I am on it everyday. I have been reading all of the posts about the Rincon and some of the troubles some of you have had. I have not had any problems or complaints with my Rincon. It pulls like a truck and rides like a caddy (cost as much as one too!!).
I did have one issue with my Rincon and I will put that in a different "new topic" post
Thanks in advance for the valve adj. info!!

I wouldn't worry too much about it if the engine is nice and quiet at idle. I have seen a few on the slightly loose side but most of the ones I've checked have been right on the money. You might want to check them in the first thousand miles or so. As far as the procedure it's very run of the mill, remove gas tank and plastic cover underneath to access valve caps, remove them, find TDC compression stroke and use feeler gauges to verify lash. If needed you can adjust the lash with a screwdriver and 10mm wrench for the locknut.
