250R SHORT AND LONG ROD PLEASE HELP

Hi I just want ot know how much longer is a long rod than a short rod I have a 88 250R but do not know if it is a short rod or long rod part numbers are not helping all it has is HA2 6 that is it on the cont rod could somebody help me. Tell me if it is a short or long rod thanks

The 88 R has the long rod.

if you hav a spacer plate between the motor and jug it's a long rod

Actually, no you wouldn't have a spacer plate unless you were running the 86' piston...I have a stock cylinderd 87 long rod in my 250R right now with no spacer plate.
