Default replacing torn inboard boot

I'm in the midst of replacing an inboard boot on my TRX300FW. I've taken off the wheel, brake drum, removed the tie rod, and lower arm. I was hoping to be able to rotate/lift the knuckle/brake panel assembly enough to slide out the drive shaft from the outboard side then pull it out of the differential. The kuckle/brake panel assembly can only be rotated about 20 degrees from vertical which isn't enough to remove the drive shaft. Anyone out there been here before? Do I need to remove the upper arm as well?
