chain keeps falling off
#11
My 230 Quadsport was having a chain prob when I bought it. Buddy took a link out but that wasn't the fix it needed. I put a new set of swingarm bushings in and everything works great now but I can't get the chain quite tight enough. If I take out a link it is too short...if I leave it adjusted to the max it is a bit long. Chains suck!

Dude, you forgot to say that you just put that thing together from scratch! It may very well be the swing arm alignment. I'm not sure if your frame has any adjustment but you may have to move the engine a touch or it could be the bushings. Either way you need to check the alignment of the sprockets, usually you can eye ball them and tell something is wrong. It may even be the axle bearings or the countershaft sprocket from a different year chassis. Not sure if the year makes a difference but I would check.
