I would want all those microscopic metals particles that slip past the oil filter out of there now.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]

 

There were alot of those little metal particles in my Recons oil with the first oil change. At first, I was concerned that it wasn't normal.

 

when i got my 250ex the dealer had it on reserve too. So i decided to put it on "on""after 3 hours my bike died when i looked at the wire that put the gas into the carb there was no gas coming out when it was on "ON" when i put it on reserve it stayed on and ran . ive had my 250 foir 5 weeks now and its still running on reserve its taken tank after tank after tank. so watch out for that.

hondarider25, If you haven't already, you should take it back to have the gas switch corrected.

 

well enjoy your purchase.... what a thrill eh? you got a good proven quad.

be really patient breaking it in and it will last a long time. drag the owners manual out and memorize it cover to cover, cuz if you have a problem, thats where honda will go first.

I wouldnt worry over it,,,,just do the scheduled maintinence everyone recommends.

They are bulletproof bikes.

you got your self the best sport bike on the market injoy.
I've got a yellow 2002 400ex with a few mods done to it i love it.
just take time to break it in,just follow the owners man. and you will be fine
