What is the horsepower of a honda 250r stock? Just want to know since I don't know all that much yet, thanks.

 

The 86 and 87 models had about 35 to 37 but the 88 and 89 models had 39 at 7000 RPM. Thats from the Dec 87 issue of ATV Sports.

I've gotta say those figures sound hard to believe. Sounds more like a Banshee to me. The figures I have heard for the stock 250R are somewhere around 30-32 HP. If I am wrong, I will be the first to admit it, but those are the numbers I have heard from 250R owners.

 

Arland at LRD, and Allen Knowles of CT Racing both say they have around 28 stock. Sounds about right for a non-powervalve 250.

 

Well I never dyno'd mine but as I stated according to the mags that is what they clamed and they also stated the Tecate-4 had 42HP and it was the fastests of the 250s.
