i crashed my ex on saturday. it was a pretty bad one, but myself and the bike both came out of it in suprisingly good condition. i bent my handle bar on the clutch side slightly. and scratched the plastic up pretty good.for myself i just got a few scrapes and scratches and a real sore leg. i think my moto boots saved me from a break.

for those wondering how it happend. i was in a gravle pit, taking a jump the top of a hill, that i had taking like 50 times before, each time landing perfectly. a lip had been warn in the top of the hill, and it kicked my back end up into the air, i landed on the front end, and was thrown down on my side, i was in the air for at least 30 ft. near by there was a guy filling his truck with sand, the expression on his face was classic.

riding jersey- $60, riding pants- $140, kidney belt, $60, snazzy blue riding goggles $70, riding gloves- $30, helmet i already had $0, moto boots- $350. walking away from a huge wipe out- priceless.

 

Sounds pretty vicious but i'm wondering how the bars bent and it got scratch? did it roll over after or something thats what i think happened but im not sure if you like landed on it or something after. That would be the BEST wipeout to watch.

 

yeah, i don't really know how it rolled. but it went down on it's side. i think the lip kicked one side up higher then the other so i landed on one front wheel, and rolled that way. but i'm not really sure.

 

i have done something kinda like that on my dirt bike(2 month old xr80) when I had it (my first bike of any kind). It was a stupid mistake though, we(me,my friend and his bro) was riding (more like racing) through his field and I hit a ditch I didn't remember going through at full speed. The bike flip a time or 2 and one of them said it slung me in the air about 7-10 feet. I have to say I won and got alot of brused spots afterwards.
