Has anybody out there been modifying their 300 for more power as far as cam, filter, jet kit etc...What works?? What is best bang for buck??? let me know.

What a question. I'd say the answer is a definate "YES".

I would 1st recommend that you go to the Honda forum and click on "search".

In Search Words, use "Honda 300 4x4 General"
In forums, use "Honda ATV's"
Leave date as "Any Date"
and hit SEARCH.

This should bring up about 10 reply's - Several of which are titled "Honda 300 4x4 (General Parts I, II, and III)"

Those are really good reading for anyone wanting to know about 300 Mods and info.

I have a 1999 300 4X4, and have put a Supertrapp IDS pipe, K&N Filter, and a Dynojet jet kit. The pipe makes a world of difference, but be sure to use the jet kit also to keep the mixture from leaning out.
The filter I have mixed feelings about, I have not seen a big improvement in performance, so I'm not sure how well spent the money was. From some of the other posts on this forum, removing the backfire screen from the stock filter gives about the same boost in airflow.
The modifications made a big difference in the way that the quad rides.
