Default burning smell

I have a 03 300ex with a full pipe,K&N, and its been jetted all work done by dealer.I decided to do a stage 2 on it and take the air box lid off and put new jet in. the dynojet kit said to put a 128 in and the mixture screw stays the same as it was in stage 1. heres the problem I took it out today for the first time since I changed the jet and removed the air box, idels good, good throttle responce and it ran good. After I got on It through all the gears and came to a stop and ideled for a few it smelled like it was burning. so I ran it back to the truck turned it off and it smelled like it was burning again. Is it overheating? is it running lean? I need help please...How do I fix it?

Just a shot in the dark, but did the dealer change the oil. Might just be some oil burning off the crankcase.

When you worked on the quad, some debris may have got on the pipe....if thats the case, it will go away.

I pulled the plug out today and it eas white as a ghost. I guess that means its running lean. Did this hurt anything in the motor? It still runs fine.
