Where to start.
So yesterday I was racing and my bike started to kind of foul out a bit.. Almost like fouling a plug. Then died... So a tow back to the truck and I found there is no spark at all? Where do I really start? electrical is not my thing any help would be greatly appreciated
thanks

ok so I took the right case cover off and see the balancer is broken off at one the ends... so it looks like it has leaked oil into cover and caused it trouble.. does that sound legit? can I buy just a balancer? how about the stator etc? is it ok if I clean it up?
thanks

Oil in the stator windings shouldn't make it lose spark. Most of them run in oil on a constant basis. If a chunk of metal got caught in the stator windings it could easily make it fail though. You can check your stator, the easiest test being resistance. unplug the black\red wire and check the restistance of it through chassis ground, or the stator plate if you have it out. You should have a low resistance like 100 to 400 ohms. If it's failed, you most likely will read that their is no connection at all.

Oil on the stator side is not a good thing. You got some main bearing seals out dude.... looks like you'll be splitting your cases soon. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the flywheel side should be completely dry. ESR makes aftermarket counterbalancers made out of billet thats supposed to last forever.
