EVERY TIME I START MY BIKE UP IT WILL RUN FOR ABOUT 7-10 SECONDS THEN DIE. I PULL THE SPARK PLUG AND SEE THAT IT IS ALWAYS FOULED WITH TOO MUCH FUEL. I HAVE CHANGED OVER THE CARBS, CHECKED THE TIMING MARK,AND EVEN MADE SURE THE THROTTLE CABLE WAS WORKING FINE. BUT CANNOT CORRECT PROBLEM. ANY IDEAS?-MAYBE IRRATIC IGNITION?ANY HELPFUL HINTS WOULD BE APPECIATED.THANKS.

 

carbs are not that bad, stay calm. start with your oil to gas ratio (~32/1) then check the pilot jet.

 

This might be a stupid suggestion but that happend to my friend. He found his tube thru his gas cap was clogged and it would vapor lock.
