Anyone hear anything about how the new setup affects power? if any? 35-38 is a pretty big step, did they clean up the porting or change the cam or something?

I somehow doubt it, all else being equal. However, you will see a loss of loss of low end due to the larger carb. The loss of low end will be a direct response to the slower velocity of air movement through the larger carb. I guess we'll have to see when they come out.

I agree. You may lose some low end, in favor of top end.

I've seen plenty of stock EX's with 39mm FCR's. And they run fine. No noticeable loss of low end. All the 38mm will do is equalize the power difference between the 400EX and the LTZ400.
