i can tell u one thing and my trailblazer has never given me s*** and i beat the crap out of it. plus i go riding wit kids with all types of quads and they re always braking down(mostly yamahas) but i have to say that some hondas are reliable but polaris is the same.

I will run against any 250 ex and beat it hands down and still keep on running without a problem. The TB is very relaible and have come along way from the past years. The TB moded is the quickest out of a moded 250ex and even a 300. Line them up and we will see who wins. All this mine is faster than yours is crap untill you line them up. I know you honda guys are true to your brand just like us polaris guys but you wont see us polaris guys bashing other brands. We compare brands good and bad but we dont bash them. Polaris has the most potential 2 stroke and 4 stroke quads out. You cant get 80hp out of a 400 ex. Just not possable but you can with a polaris. There is not much that can touch a race mod 400 scrambler. Yamaha has the only other quad that can compete with a race mod scrammy. And the 80hp race mod scrammy is just as reliable as a 400ex. So why the crap all the time? People need to put up or shut up. Ride what you want and have fun. Thats what it is all about. FUN!!! I have never went riding with a bunch of other quad owners and someone come up to me and say MY QUAD IS BETTER THAN YOURS. Just like a bunch of little kids. Talk behind the keyboard. The origional quastion was what would be faster a 250ex,250TB or 250z. In STOCK form the z250 all the way. The ex and TB are almost the same top speed. The TB is quicker off the line but the ex has a higher gear to walk by slowly.

If I were gonna buy one in the 250 range, I wouldn't be focusing on power anyway. You'll get tired of it soon. I would be looking for the most reliability.

tb's are way too heavy ... so since its a 2 stroke it still is quick but the weight is still holdin it down. now if it weighed around what the 250 weighed then that would be awesome......its so hard to jump with tb's cuz they have stupid floorboards. nerf bars all the way floor boards are for like utility quads.

Depends on what kind of riding. We own both. Wife is fine on the TB but she's not a hot rod. Loves the automatic and it is very comfortable. Since its a 2 stroke, need to keep rpm's up for power when climbing. Had to rejet for the mountains (9,000+ ft altitude) but then ran fine. Just bought an EX from an adult - was a little small frame-wise for her. Haven't ridden it much but for smaller riders, the size looks good. It is peppy but you gotta shift. So far daughter loves it but still getting used to shifting. Might check out Polaris website. New 200 4 stroke, shaft drive, lighter weight model called the Phoenix. Only 2,999 I think.
