What have you done to your 250ex?

I just want to know what some of you have done to your 250ex's. I have a '01 that I use for leisurely trail riding. All I have done is mounted two 2" fog lights on the handlebar plastic and I have 23" Holeshots on the front and 20"s in the back(they make a world of difference), and (of course) the spark arrestor is off. What I really want is longer A-arms, but I havent seen any on the market and I doubt anyone makes them...and I serously doubt I can mate another kind to it. Buuuut anyways, what you got done to yours.

I know a [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]guy[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img] that sunk $12000 in to his ex. He had the chassis lightened. Got +4 a-arms custom made. Had his axle lengthened by 4. Had the frame powdercoated black. Had his aluminum wheels powder blue (but he is changing them to black). He race cut his plastic and had custom air scoops made. Put an aftermarket pipe on. Got holeshots front and rear. Finally he got a k&n air filter.

Just bought mine a couple months ago, so I'm just getting started. Threw some
Pure Sports Realtors on the back, huge difference in the mud and handling but
torque is a little weaker.
How much giddy up you get from removing that spark arrester? And does the
K & N air filter make that big a difference or do you have to jet it too?

On my '02 250 EX i have the full Graydon Proline exhaust system, a k&n air filter, and a new jet. I'm soon to get a set of graydon nerfs and a pair of 20X11X9 rear razrs or shredders. I just fund out last night that powroll make an engine kit for 250 EX with a 20cc plus piston, a new intake rocker arm, and new gaskets. It costs around $300. I might consider buying it if i had the money, lol[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

we've got an 03 with white bros e-4 slip-on, filter and jetted. i think you can put either 300ex or 400ex a-arms on it. the only problem with boreing it or any engine mods is the rev limiter is too low and they don't make one yet. fun bike though.

Oh yea, I got aftermarket handlebars too, but I cant remember what kind. But yea runnin without a spark arrestor makes it sound 10x better.....funny how its the small things that make a difference.

i have an '01 250ex and here are my mods...: DG Xccellerator stage 3 pipe, K&N Stage 3 Jet Kit, K&N Air Filter w/ Outerwears, Modified Air box ... no lid..., Wheel Spacers, Razr's all around, DG Chrome Front Bumper, Renthal bars, Relocated key & lights, DG Nerf Bars, Graphic Kit, Ceet seat , DG Grab Bar, A-Arm Guards,Shock Covers, Bored using the Powroll bore kit, and Chrome Shifters. This thing beats 300ex's and blasters easily. i leave them eating dirt
