Hmmmm? I sit here pondering how I can make this question more understandable. As I am pondering, I figure if one person questions my posting, I am sure another will as well. So here it is in a more understandable version:

First let me give you the basis. I don't know what a 400EX would be worth new or used. I would like a 400EX, but don't know what to pay for one new or used. I am sure there are plenty of owners who, for some unknown reason, would like to sell their 400EX and don't know what it would be worth. So, I was hoping, I could get a consortium of prices, new or used, on the 400EX from actual owners, purchasers, and previous sellers. This, I am sure would be much more reliable than any other resource, including KBB.

Here goes: How much did you (the 400EX owner) pay for your Honda 400EX, new or used – preferably stock (prices will be different when modified)? This is sure to help present/future sellers and buyers. Thanks.

 

2000 model bought in September of 99 - paid $5500 out the door in Madison, Indiana.

 

'00 model. $5400 Purchased Sept. 99, from Ephrata Cycle and Sport, Ephrata, PA.

 

1999 400ex with K&N filter nerfs ac bumper motion pro twist and bald back tires 5000 bought in Aug 1999. I bought shredder RA on douglas blue labels all the way around 350.00 and CEET graphics and seat cover 125.00 Replaced brakes and oil 150.00. Has been a good reliable bike that now looks very sharp and have not spent as much as one who would by a new one. I purchased in Tulsa OK.

 

I bought mine brand new yesterday for $5349 in Mansfield Ohio.

 

I paid about $5,600 out the door for my 2000 in August of '99.
