Has anyone seen an 02 Z-71 ext. cab 5.3L with a rubicon in the back and 285/75/16 tires which are bigger than stock vs an 03 1500 Hemi 5.7L four door two wheel drive with factory 20" wheels race from a stop light. Both have flowmasters with dual turndowns. Well, the way it went was the Z-71 leading for a while and when they hit second they were side by side. They stayed side by side until 80mph but then the cops pulled them over and gave them tickets for street racing, they were lucky the cop didn't get them on radar cause he might have pulled there license. All of us were suprised but the Z with 285 hp and a load in the bed could hold its own with the Hemi 345 hp. The guy paid $30 grand for the hemi and if I were him I would be pissed.

 

My '92 4x4 has the v6 and 5 speed. Overall I'm impressed except for: low ground clearance overall, especially the front differential. Bad traction in 2wd. Had to replace the transfer case, $1200, heard this is a weak spot on many Dakotas. The LE package is very civilized and comfortable, and the Xcab has a ton of room. Mine pulls 1500lb (2 utility quads on a trailer) at or vey near 75mph on the interstate in western Colorado @ 6000 feet. I get better gas mileage than previous posters, about 20 on the freeway with no trailer. The paint is coming off mine in chunks, this is another common problem.

 

I would love to have your truck and is sounds nice but I don't have $10,000 I will end up having to borrow money for one $7,000. but like i said I would love to have you truck. thanks for the offer.

 

We drive 1999 Dodge Dakota V6 regular cab 4x4's at work ( I work for an electric co. we have 4 of them ) & they are all JUNK!!! Lets see...tranny's go out...brakes are horrible...computer systems always giving us fits. There are 2 thing I can say about mine that is good ( it has 96000 miles on it )...there is absolutley zero rattles in the dash...& my a/c will freeze you good!
